If you’re in the mood for a folksy show with music performed by an attractive Norwegian guy with a cool name, go to the Sondre Lerche concert at Workplay this Friday night, Feb. 12.

Signed to Virgin/EMI before he was 16, Lerche has been playing guitar since he was 8, and he’s been crafting catchy folk tunes ever since.

You might even know him from the “Dan In Real Life” soundtrack, since he performed almost every track on it.
The show starts around 9 p.m., and tickets are $12.

And don’t forget your driver’s license – this show is 18+, which means you gotta have ID.

There’s this hip-hop group that’s playing a show at the BJCC this Saturday – you may have heard of them, I think they’re named after a popular Southern vegetable dish.

Oh yes, the Black Eyed Peas!

After their show on Feb. 13, they will be playing an aftershow at Club 1120 in Five Points South.
It should start around 9 p.m., but it will go all night.

The cover is $20 in advance for 21+, or $25 the day of for 21+ and $30 for 18+, and this will definitely sell out, so get your tickets early!

To get in the spirit of Valentine’s Day a day early, go to the Alabama Theatre and watch “Casablanca” this Saturday, Feb. 13.

All seats are $7, available at the box office one hour before showtime.

The movie starts at 7 p.m., but if you get there at 6:30, you can catch the organist playing love songs on the Mighty Wurlitzer Pipe Organ.

There will be a cartoon and sing-a-long right before the movie.

So take your date to enjoy a romantic movie together, or just go by yourself and watch this great vintage film on the big screen.
