Students celebrate Hispanic Heritage

On Wednesday, Sept. 19 , students were welcomed to test out their Latin dancing skills at the Bailamos: Latin Dance Night hosted by the Interculture Committee.
“It was really fun, and I want to do something like that again,” says Ali Fry, freshman.

She, like many others that attended, had never danced the Salsa or the Merengue.
Fortunately, UAB student and instructor Kelly Leuch taught everybody the art behind the moves.
National Hispanic Month, which sparked this event, is slated to run from September 15 through October 15.
