UAB alumni and faculty to discuss diversity

The UAB Mervyn Sterne Library will host a panel discussion on a celebration of diversity featuring faculty and alumni at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31. The event theme is “Birmingham, continuing the discussion; our past and present through the eyes of UAB alumni and faculty.” The free, public event will take place in Room 174 at the library, 917 13th St. South.

Panel members include Najwa S. Bateh, former president of the UAB National Alumni Society; Printella Ridgeway-Thomas, M.D., NAS board member; and Ken Jackson, NAS Honorary Life Member award recipient. Robert Corley, Ph.D., associate professor of history, will moderate.
