UAB lecture on dangers of deep-sea fishing

The dangers and travails of deep-sea fishing is the subject of the Reynolds Historical Lecture Series at noon April 17. Colin Davis, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Department of History at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, will present “Trans-Atlantic Danger: Work and Death Among U.S. and British Deep-Sea Fishermen.”

The lecture will be held at the Edge of Chaos, fourth floor of the Lister Hill Library, 1700 University Blvd. It is free and open to the public. A limited number of box lunches will be provided. CMEs are available. The lecture is hosted by the Reynolds Associates and UAB Historical Collections.

UAB Historical Collections consists of the Alabama Museum of the Health Sciences, the Reynolds Historical Library and UAB Archives.
