Samford sent the Green and Gold home swinging this week after an 11-0 loss on Wednesday, but where there’s a Blazer failure, there’s sure to be a comeback.
That comeback came in the form of a double win over Gardner-Webb which made for an interesting week for the Birmingham boys.
It didn’t take much for the Bulldogs to make eleven runs home; however, before the final pitch was thrown by Tom Sawyer, UAB had held their opponents to only six hits.

Blazer power overtook a familiar rival this week with a victory over sister school Alabama on Tuesday night in Tuscaloosa. The Spring Game will take place on Saturday. There are many questions going into the game, like how will first time head coaches Garrick McGee’s team look? Who is going to be out in front of the battle for the starting quarterback position, is it Perry’s job to lose? Is there any stand out freshman with the 30 new players coming in? How will the new offense look? How will we replace the offensive line that saw four starters graduate last year? The spring practices have helped gi… Read More

“How much power do we really want these coaches to have?” That was the question that I kept asking myself as I’ve been following the latest developments with the Bobby Petrino motorcycle accident – turned scandal – melodrama. Petrino, who is the coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks football team, had wrecked his motorbike April 1st and sustained injuries ranging from broken ribs to facial lacerations.
